"Guardian. I'm glad to see you joining your fellow Lightbearers in this year's Games." Zavala is solemn despite the cheerful decorations surrounding him.

"Eva has outdone herself this year to make sure the Games are an event to remember. Perform well and you'll win the right to light the ceremonial torches in the Tower. Along with a year's worth of bragging rights, as Eva would like me to remind you."

Zavala looks to the empty skyline. "The Witness is coming. We cannot forget the threat hanging over us. But the Guardian Games are just what we need: a test of discipline, a reminder of our strength, a celebration of who we are."

"We have faced the worst. We have not faltered yet." He nods to you. "And we won't. Get out there, Guardian. Show us your mettle… and have some fun."
