Commander Zavala — Holding Patterns

Commander Zavala gives you a weary wave as you approach.

"Guardian, I'm glad to hear that your siege-breaking operation is a success. Every member of the Witness's forces you defeat on Earth may well be one less we'll face on the other side of that portal." He gestures broadly toward the sky.

"That's especially important because we won't be able to bring all our forces through at once. It will be all we can to just to keep the portal stabilized. We'll need to begin the assault with a small advance team—and you'll be the tip of the spear."

He lets out a frustrated sigh. "Unfortunately, until then there's little left to do but wait."

"I've never had Saladin's patience. Or Shaxx's… raw instinct."

"For a Titan like me, the calm before the storm is anything but." His attention is caught by a strident signal on his datapad. Another high-priority report, no doubt.

He gives you a brief nod. "Go get some rest, Guardian. You'll need it."
