TOP SECRET UMBRA//NOFORN
DEPARTMENT OF EXTERNAL OBSERVATIONS
INCIDENT REPORT 196███
1. (S) 051632S: Reception intercepts a radio signal from deep space.
2. (TS) 051744S: Natural causes, random chance, and foreign interference are ruled out. Signal is tentatively classified as contact with non-human intelligence.
3. (TS) 052012S: Via ███████-█████, Central determines that the signal is tightly focused on Department of External Observations headquarters.
4. (U) 052015S: Response teams are scrambled to search the building.
5. (S) 052343S: Response team Tau-4 reports localized electrical interference and noticeable drop in ambient temperature on sublevel 3.
6. (TS) 052350S: Tau-4 reports the spontaneous manifestation of a ██████████ object in the breakroom on level 2.
7. (TS) 052354S: Tau-4 reports that the object appears to be the receiver and cord of a telephone of unknown make, white with gold trim. The object is noted to be floating approximately 6 ft. above the floor with no discernible support.
8. (U) 060023S: Central directs Tau-4 to move the object to a safer location.
9. (U) 060024S: Tau-4-1 makes physical contact with the object.
10. (TS) 060025S: The entirety of Tau-4-1's body is converted to a metallic solid (later determined to be pure niobium).
11. (U) 060032S: Tau-4-3 attempts to move object with his service rifle.
12. (TS) 060033S: Tau-4-3 reports that his weapon begins to twist upon contact with the object, beginning from the muzzle, but he is able to move the object without resistance.
13. (TS) 060035S: Tau-4-3 and his service rifle are violently drawn towards the object. Tau-4-3's service rifle is twisted into a large circle, while Tau-4-3's body contorts into a shape resembling the letter "N." Tau-4-3 expires from massive bodily trauma.
14. (S) 060038S: Remaining members of Tau-4 report that ambient temperatures continue to fall.
15. (U) 060040S: Tau-4-2 uses a broom to move the object towards the prepared enclosure. Tau-4-2 reports no resistance.
16. (U) 060048S: Tau-4-2 successfully moves the object into the enclosure.
17. (TS) 060049S: Tau-4-2 is able to disengage safely from the object but reports that the broom has deformed in his grip. Examination determines that the broom is now made of solid gold.
18. (U) 060058S: Door to enclosure is locked with multiple redundant systems. Per regulations on extended active hours, Central agrees to reconvene for discussion at 061300S.
