"Never saw a gun like that before," he says quietly. "Thing would go cold in your hands. Nothing good can come from a piece like that."

"Hey, Guardian," he says as he notices you. "Do me a favor: you ever find a Sidearm that runs cold, you be sure to keep this catalyst far away from it, y'hear?"

He holds up a damaged Sidearm catalyst.

"'Course, thing's busted pretty bad now. I'd need plenty of calibration data to get it up and running again."
